The first time to Coventry Motofest – What an event !

Coventry MotoFest 2019

It was my first time to CMF and what an amazing event, the centre of the city is closed and filled with vehicles, old, new, super, 4×4, 2 wheels and 4 you name it, all bases covered.

AoHE member James Davis was there all weekend, using his beautiful MGA Twin-Cam to raise funds for Alzheimers awareness, those of you who came to the NEC in March will have meet the dynamo that is Mr Davis when he not only provided his car, but help set-up, breakdown and man the stand over the event. Its was James who got the AoHE invited on the Sunday. The weather was not the best but many laughs were to be had, especially on JD.

On opening his car door on Sunday morning, the hinges sheared and it literally came off in his hand. Did it stop him ? In the rain ? Oh no he’s made of sterner stuff as the picture below shows.

JD introduced me to the show director James Noble, a lovely chap with a very similar ethos to the AoHE, I look forward to having a presence at the event next year .

A great event, and the largest of its kind in the UK.
