Auto Restorations
52 Stewart St
Christchurch
New Zealand
8011
Auto Restorations Ltd was started in 1973 by three old-car collectors who wanted to employ an expert tradesman to do panel work on their cars. That original employee, Alan Stanton, was set up in small premises and began work. Soon, other owners of cherished cars showed interest in having work done and the business began to expand to meet the demand to the point where it outgrew its premises and now, after three moves to bigger and better premises each time, it employs 26 people.
Auto Restorations has never specialised in a particular make of car but we do find that our customers send us a lot of French and Italian cars for restoration. Alfa Romeos, Bugattis, Delages, Delahayes, Ferraris, Maseratis and Talbot Lagos are usually represented in our workshops, but makes such as Arrol-Johnston, Aston Martin, Bentley, Cadillac, Delaunay-Belleville, Hispano-Suiza, Jaguar, OSCA, Packard, Pierce Arrow, Rolls Royce, Riley, Stutz, Shelby Mustang and Sunbeam have also been restored.

Was founded in June 1999 by former racer Anders Hildebrand. Up until the summer of 2015 the company was based out of two locations, the office located on the south coast of England in Dorset, and the warehouse and blending plant located in Berkshire.
In June 2015, the whole operation relocated to one purpose-built facility comprising of a two-story office block, lab, workshop and oil bottling department, warehouse, tank farm and fuel production area.
They represent and distribute Sunoco Race fuels on an exclusive basis through European and Middle Eastern distributors.
They arealso European agents of Driven Racing Oil, PJ1 track compounds (drag racing strip treatments), Kleers Motorsport cleaning products.
R brand, the R racing fuels and oils, are blended in-house to very tight specifications. As of 2017, they also introduced products from Freezetone in the USA. The main business is built on a dedicated customer base of over 9,500 racers and high-performance garages that buy products on a daily basis.
In addition to the Motorsport products, they have also stocked Aspen fuel for the UK market since 2006, which is now distributed through a fast-growing network of 300+ garden machinery dealers. This product, based on our knowledge of clean fuel technology, resulted in a new department where they are focusing on low emission fuels for hand-held petrol-driven engines and diesel-powered construction plant machinery, plus a new exciting range of biodegradable oils.

Founded in 1999, CKL Developments has grown into the worlds leading specialist in Jaguar Sports and Racing Cars of the 1950’s and ’60’s.
Beginning
After 25 years as Managing Director at Lynx, Chris Keith-Lucas left in 1999 to set up CKL Developments Ltd. From the start, Chris attracted a loyal customer base of people who value the knowledge, integrity and attention to detail that still characterise the work of CKL today.
Growing
Starting modestly in a barn near Battle in East Sussex, CKL’s growing reputation brought more and more business, and with an increasing workforce eventually Chris and Melvin were forced to look for more space and investment. With the help and input of car collector and historic racer Stefan Ziegler, CKL moved into it’s current, purpose built premises in 2011.
Today
With sixteen thousand square feet of space and state of the art facilities, CKL is second to none in our ability to undertake all areas of restoration and race preparation work. Our global reputation is based on getting the details right, whether it’s a simple service job, a complete restoration project involving extensive research or the development of a race-winning car.
