The AoHE was in part conceived following a visit to P&A Wood , the world renown Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialist in Essex. I was visiting with my youngest son Oliver, who worked for another RR specialist and attends the Heritage Skills academy at Bicester Heritage in Oxfordshire with a number of P&A’s apprentices.

I talked at length to their then general manager Mark Hews about the ‘skills-gap’ between their very successful apprenticeship programme and the senior staff who were close to retirement, his worry was the transfer of skills within the timescale.

 

 

 

Following an event at the amazing Studio434 collection, it owner and founder, entrepreneur and car collector Rodger Dudding also agreed to become an HVP. Rodger is an exceptionally successful businessman, a passionate collector and above all, an ex-Royal Navy engineering apprentice.
